(Millville, NJ) You may have heard of yoga and wine, and of course yoga with goats! But now The Barnyard Experience at Pampered Pup presents Yoga with Kittens to benefit Kizzy’s Place Saturday September 16th at 5 pm. The class will be an hour long yoga session with Tracey Morgado as our instructor. After class, and during of course, there will be ample opportunity for pictures and to spend time with the adoptable kitties. The event will be inside so that participants can play with all the adorable kittens Kizzy’s Place has up for adoption in a quiet room. There will be several kittens for everyone to enjoy and hopefully the kittens can meet a potential adopter or future foster! Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the fun. The cost of the class is a $30 suggested donation, in addition, donated items are always welcome. Light food and beverages will be provided as well to be enjoyed after a fun filled yoga session surrounded by the kittens.
This yoga class will be the second of several in a series to benefit local animal rescues, starting with Kizzy’s Place. The idea for Kizzy’s Place began after four animal advocates, who had been involved in cat rescue for a while, were inspired to combine efforts. Each wanted to help a cat named Kizzy, who was on the urgent list at a local shelter, but each realized that they could not help Kizzy alone. Kizzy needed immediate transportation from the shelter, funds for a vet visit, and an experienced foster home in which he could recuperate from URI, a tall order. So after talking about it communally, the advocates each handled a piece of the operation, resulting in a successful rescue effort! The new friends noted that rescue groups sometimes need a little extra help, like a foster, transporter, or private donor, to assist them in doing their noble work. Also, they recognized that individual animal rescuers sometimes need the wider reach of an organized rescue group to help get their adoptable animals noticed by potential adopters. This is what Kizzy’s Place provides, a network of friends to mutually assist each other! Kizzy’s Place currently has a network of several foster homes that care for Kizzy’s Place adoptables as well as a couple other group’s cats.
