A Little About Pampered Pup Luxury Pet Resort

Nestled on a quiet 60 acre farm, Pampered Pup Luxury Pet Resort has a "home away from home" atmosphere for our guests. Pampered Pup Luxury Pet Resort is situated on pristine acres in beautiful Cumberland County, NJ, in Millville. The land is composed of horse pastures, wooded acreage and is home to a vast array of farm animals including chickens, ducks, rabbits, an alpaca, goats, pigs, a donkey, and horses. The acres of secluded woods boarders up to a wildlife management area making the trails seem endless. Pampered Pup’s location truly sets it apart. Offering use of the woods and fields for walks as well as enrichment from observing the horses in nearby pastures are just some of the ways that the atmosphere adds to the pets comfort. The focus is to make each guest feel at home at Pampered Pup and able to enjoy the beauty that surrounds them.

The Pampered Pup staff is comprised of hard working, dedicated team members. The resort is fully staffed seven days a week including holidays and weekends. Danielle Harris

and Fluffy

Danielle Harris is the owner of Pampered Pup Luxury Pet Resort since the spring of 2010. Danielle graduated from Delaware Valley University with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science and Management. During her four years at Del Val, Danielle worked at the Harrisburg Standardbred Sale (2007, 2008, 2009) for Northwood Bloodstock handling horses of varying ages and disposition. In addition to working for Northwood Bloodstock, Danielle was also a bather at PetSmart during her time at Del Val and worked at a private horse farm providing horse care and pasture management. Danielle is a sister of Delta Epsilon Beta, a community service oriented sorority. Danielle was also fortunate enough to play varsity volleyball for Del Val for four years. Danielle proudly finished her college career as the volleyball team captain both her junior and senior year. To expand on her degree Danielle completed the Genex reproductive training course during spring break of her senior year in addition to completing Beef Cattle Level 1 training authorized by the Federation of Animal Science Societies.

Danielle feels strongly about the importance of continuing education and has thus completed a multitude of educational classes in varying subjects. Danielle completed the Provet Logic Certificate of Achievement for Kennel Maintenance 202, Hot Zone 202 and No Paws Zone. At the Groom Expo in Hershey, PA Danielle completed the Brusher / Bather Course which is a series of educational seminars specifically designed for Brusher/Bather covering animal handling skills, safety, skin care, shampoos and conditioners, brushing, bathing, dematting techniques and equipment. Danielle frequents industry trade shows sure as the aforementioned Groom Expo and the Boarding and Daycare Expo also held in Hershey, PA. Both expos highlight educational seminars conducted for the advanced education of pet care professionals, upgrading her expertise, handling and knowledge of pets.

Danielle enjoys continuing education classes in a variety of subjects. Through the local Rutgers Extension office Danielle completed multiple courses on a variety of subjects including bee keeping, pesticide management and herb classes. There is always more to learn and a fun new farm project in the works.
